Fairly quiet on the First front with one of item of note is that ev en now it's summer the Legoland double deck is still in use on the X74 to High Wycombe.

Stephen Le Bras writes "First Berkshire is colour coding its routes around Slough. First to receive a makeover is Route 1 ( it is surprising a certain trade mag has not cottoned on to this yet). 4 Citaros which recently lost their 7-Series vinyls have appeared with green fronts and are 64032/34/46/48.

The next route to go colourful is the 6 which is having yellow fronts. So far 64030 has been done. If passengers need to see what colour their route will go, they need only look at the 29th July timetable which shows the colour on the heading.

I imagine that only the Citaros are being painted at present to gauge passenger reaction."

On the same subject David Fuller writes "There have been significant developments during the last couple of months on Slough local routes, as the plain blue Citaros have started to be repainted and route branded. First to be completed was 64032 - LK07CCE in early July, followed by 64046 - LK08FMF, 64034 - LK07CCJ (a photo of which is attached) and 64048 - LK08FMJ. These four have a green front and are branded for route 1: Slough - Farnham Road - Britwell. I have also included a picture of one of the newly designed bus stop flags along throughout this route.

A week after the route 1 buses were completed, 64030 - LK07CCA returned with a light yellow front and branding for route 6: Slough - Upton Lea - Wexham Court. The photo shows it in Slough depot a day or two after arriving back."
