General observations

Gordon Scott mentions some Scottish developments on the borders.

As ever Gordon has sent a number of interesting Stagecoach pictures and also some from West Coast Motors who have taken over the First Bus operation via their Craig of Campbeltown operation. This is under the name Borders Buses and a number of brand new buses are being used on this service which covers Galashiels depot and Peebles, Hawick and Kelso outstations.

Borders Buses YJ17FWY on the 62 at "Edimburgh" on April 3rd by Gordon Scott.
Someone set up the destinations in a rush, maybe an Englishman from south of the border!!!!

Borders Buses E200 SN17MUA again on the 62 on April 3rd by Gordon Scott.

Borders Buses YN66BBZ on the X62, until recently in use by Reading Buses (777) and now by
April 3rd over the border as seen by Gordon Scott.

Greater Manchester South 10860 on test at ADL Falkirk on April 3rd by Gordon Scott.

West Scotland 54334 on the X76 in Glasgow on April 3rd by Gordon Scott.
It is interesting to note that several ex Oxford tube coaches went north for the X76.

Stagecoach East Scotland Fife 27539 with updated branding for the JET747 - seen on April 7th by Gordon Scott.

Another bus for the same service - Stagecoach East Scotland Fife 27540 with updated branding for the JET747 -

Nick Ross writes "Seen below is a photo of Leyland Olympian H810BKK arriving in Leighton Buzzards High Street with the morning 73 service on April 6th. This was a repeat of April 4th's H810BKK working, possibly the first Red Kite non school Leyland Olympian working for 9 months and possibly the last on the 73,  as the usual P262 VPN was back by April 7th!"

Nick continues "bus support throughout the South East seems ripe for cuts. The 73 users are kicking up a stink with the council forced into meetings and possible improvement in frequency of the replacement Dial a Bus service from its current 1 x week. The 73 has run 3 days a week since the 90's...!!!!"

Over the weekend including March 28th major roadwork's, requiring the closure of rods adjacent, took place at the Green Line coach station in London. I am grateful to Robert Hall of TfL for sending me some pictures of the work and the changes to regular stops.

As a result of these works and the closure of Green Line services had to use VCS to turn.

And a number of coach services had to use alternative picking up points.
