This is where I am including events such as Showbus, Buses Festival and readers reports of trips etc.

Hong Kong & Singapore

Paul Hawkins visited Hong Kong and Singapore and has sent ma number of interesting pictures. It wets ones appetite for a similar trip!

The three Franchised bus operators in Hong Kong, Citybus, New World First Bus and Kowloon Motor bus have introduced there special liveries for the Year of the Rooster with Citybus using a 12.8M E500MMC.NWFB USING A 12M E500MMC and KMB using a Wright Gemini and an E500. The Photo of the NWFB one is not the best but it was the only time I saw it.

To celebrate the upcoming 2017 Year of the Rooster, KMB has applied new decals to two of their vehicles: ATENU139 (SH6188) and AVBWU429 (TS3933). These vehicles have been chosen as this year's CNY-decorated buses because their registration numbers contain the lucky numbers 3, 6, and 8.

Well, it is always nice to see busesd in other parts of the world and these two countries offer British Buses at their best.

Paul Francis, yes related to Gavin, is on a world cruise and is under order to get some bus pictures. Here is his first taken in San Francisco. Can anyone give us the history of this Olympian?

Gavin says that the registration in this country was J830CEV. All details supplied by Paul Bateson. He tells me there are lots of ex-British open toppers running around San Francisco. The open topper in San Francisco was originally Dublin Bus 91-D-10106. It was then sold through Ensigns to be Halifax Joint Omnibus No. 30 before export to USA.
